Procurement Officer




We have been retained by our client in the Non-Governmental Organization to facilitate the recruitment and selection of self-driven personnel to fill in the vacant position of a Procurement Officer. Applications are invited from suitable qualified and experienced persons to fill in the above mentioned post.

Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management or Equivalent

CIPS Diploma Level 4

At least 3 years’ experience in Procurement

Clean class 4 driver’s license

Any additional relevant qualification(s) will be an added advantage

Knowledge and understanding of public sector procurement

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Strong analytical and problems solving skills

Strong IT skills

Unquestionable integrity

Receiving and processing departmental requisitions

Preparing various tenders/ bids according to specific requirements

Sourcing of quotations

Evaluation of bids

Preparation and expediting of orders

Manage and monitor tendering processes, evaluation, contracting, contract management, legal considerations and payment conditions, contractors, performance evaluation and risk assessment

Implement strategic procurement including sourcing strategy; supplier selection and evaluation, quality management, customer relationship management and performance measurement

Benchmarking performance of the Supply Chain

Managing vendor relationships and building effective supply chain partnerships

Supplier monitoring and evaluation

Administering the Procurement Plan

Produce relevant periodic reports

Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market

Skills in decision-making, negotiations and networking.

Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.
