A relevant Bachelor’s Degree e.g. Accounting, Banking, Economics, Insurance, Risk Management
2 years post professional qualification experience (Certified Internal Auditor - CIA)
At least 3 years of auditing experience in the financial services sector or related industry
Perform audit pre-engagement activities including background research, an inspection of relevant business documentation, and holding pre-audit team and client meetings.
Perform audit planning activities including business risk assessment, walk-through of business processes, and developing the audit planning memorandum (APM) and audit summary worksheet (ASW).
Produce a detailed draft report of audit findings with sufficient, relevant, and reliable evidence to support the findings.
Conduct special investigations and produce findings reports and recommendations
Assess, through relevant procedures, whether management is preserving asset and shareholder value, and report any key issues identified.
Recommend practical ways to improve work processes.
Adhere to relevant requirements of the GIA Charter and Manual, Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), local regulations, and international standards.
Employ a risk-based approach, taking into account the risk profile, volume, and value of activity relevant to the area under audit/review.
Ensure that all draft reports are accurate, objective, clear, concise, and timeous.
