Our client in the Automotive industry is looking for a Business Development Manager based in Bulawayo. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the above mentioned post.
- A degree in Business Administration, Marketing Management, or a related business degree from a reputable institution.
- At least 5 years' working experience in Business Development or Sales.
- Motor industry experience (selling of buses, trucks or earth moving equipment) is a distinct advantage.
- A clean class 4 drivers' license is a must-have.
- Goal driven individual with excellent problems solving skills.
- Identifying marketing opportunities through meetings, networking, and digital platforms.
- Putting in place strategies to acquire new business from identified clients.
- Creating and expanding footprint and building positive brand awareness.
- Reporting ongoing progress on business development initiatives to management.
- Attending events such as exhibitions and conferences to stay abreast with market conditions, competition, and establish relationships with prospects.
- Maintaining and updating a client database for continuous engagement with existing and potential business clients.
- Collaborating with other business units to identify business units to identify business development opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts for profitable agreements.
- Working with the Sales team to come up with congruent and synchronous strategies.
- Providing support to the Sales team on the sales and marketing initiatives.
- Preparing financial projections and sales targets.
- Preparing presentations and participating in management meetings.
