Our client in the Parastatals sector is looking for an experienced Programmer/System Developer who is able to create and modify computer programs by converting project requirements into code. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and motivated persons for the above-mentioned post.
- HND or Degree in ICT plus three years’ experience.
- Ability to accurately interpret user requirements,
- SQL Programming Skills.
- Knowledge of Oracle forms and Reports and / or object-oriented programming & Web Services e.g. C++, Java, Microsoft, .NET.
- Experience in systems support and systems integration will be an added advantage.

- Confirms programming project requirements by reviewing program objective, input data, and output requirements with analyst, supervisor, and client.
- Write, update and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific jobs. Identify and correct software defects.
- Encodes user requirements by converting workflow information into computer language.
- Programs the computer by entering coded information.
- Confirms program operation by conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or codes.
- Designs user interfaces
- Prepares reference for users by writing operating instructions.
- Maintains historical records by documenting program development and revisions.
- Performs revisions, repairs or expansions of existing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
- Develop report outputs as specified by users.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Participates in technical discussions and presentations.
