Our client in the Mining Industry is seeking for an ambitious, energetic, results oriented and purpose driven Mining Engineer/Superintendent to join their organisation.
- Diploma in Mining with School of Mines or Degree in Mining Engineering.
- 3 years’ experience in a mining environment
- Full Blasting licence
- Clean class 4 driver’s licence
- Familiar in open pit mining
- Computer skills added advantage
- Geotechnical understanding of pit design and discontinuity analysis
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of our organisation
- Team player, willing to collaborate, support and challenge ideas
- Ability to write clear and concise technical reports
- Excellent presentation skills with ability to present to a variety of audiences
- Assessing the feasibility and the potential for commercial benefit of new sites
- Ascertaining extraction risks
- Producing models or plans for possible mining sites
- Planning and implementing extraction systems
- Using specialist computer applications to maximise planning and production
- Managing construction projects
- Ensuring that operations comply with health and safety requirements
- Making sure that the equipment used is safe
